I was born in Prieska. I obtained my matric in De Aar at Orion Senior Secondary in 1974.

After school I obtained my National Teachers Diploma Commerce, and bilingual certificate at the Skiereiland Technicon

After 1998 till 2000 I studied the following:

Housing Policy Development and Management Programmed, Introduction to Project Management, Institutional Development for Housing and Urban Management and Consumer Education at Witwatersrand and Free State Universities.

From 1978 till 1979 I was Secondary Assistant in Prieska at JJ Dreyer Primary School; in 1979 till 1980 they transferred me to the Secondary High School Heuwelsig in Prieska

I was Head of Department since 1981 till 1988 at the Primary School Copperton.

I was Principal of the Primary School in Copperton from 1989 till 1994.

I worked as a broker for Coastal Brokers PE in 1995.

In 1996 I was manager for the firm Bero’s Financial Brokers.

I worked for the Northern Cape Provincial Government as register to the Development Tribune from 1997 till 2000.

From 15 December 2000 I started work for Prieska Municipality as Temporary Municipal Manager.
From July 2001 to date I have been the Municipal Manager for SiyaThemba Municipality.

I am the Municipal Elections Officer [MEO] of the IEC for 2004 for the whole SiyaThemba area.
