Siyathemba has achieved a LEVEL 1 B-BBEE STATUS!
We are delighted with this acknowledgement of the significant transformational role we play in South-Africa and believe with this rating we will further accelerate our contribution to our country’s economic sustainability at a grassroots level. Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success, and this is very important to us throughout the whole company.
Supplier development role
Siyathemba supports many supplier development initiatives, but recently we’ve empowered one of our staff members. Siyathemba has assisted Mr. Meso to set up his own company called Meso Fruit and Veg with our supplier development strategy. Currently Meso Fruit and Veg has 3 staff members and 2 vehicles. They are now Siyathemba’s in-house Fruit and Veg supplier and meet all of our requirements.
We have supported various local schools in and around Gauteng. Investing in our future leaders and our country. Also ensuring that the less fortunate basic education needs are taken care off. For the past 12 years we have also given back to the community by providing weekly meals to a facility that services the community by providing education to less privileged children in Boksburg. We have walked a long road with Samaritaan Home, building and upgrading their facility.
You don’t build a business, you build people, and then people build the business. Siyathemba annually identifies and assist young upcoming companies within the industry by means of providing start-up funding to develop their own companies.
We continuously invest in our own staff taking numerous individuals from being general workers to identify courses to study and now working within our company as qualified chefs.
We support interns from Culinary Schools by in-house training and funding to become qualified chefs. A few of these interns are working for us after they have obtained their qualification.
